Formax FD 8804 Strip Cut Industrial Shredder is designed for large volume shredding and has features that will keep it running efficiently. It can shred up to 125 sheets into 1/2" strips at 50 feet per minute. motor will stop if 49 gallon waste bin is full or if cabinet door is opened. This shredder weighs 727 pounds and has a sizeable footprint. To save space cabinet door is on front of shredder, allowing it to be placed against a wall. LED control panel has indicators that will notify user of either of these conditions. Other safety features include keyed on/off switch that prevents unauthorized use of shredder and large orange safety bar that allows user to immediately stop motor if necessary. LED panel allows users to run shredder in manual and automatic modes. In manual, motor runs non-stop. In automatic, motor will stop and start as optical sensors detect paper. LED panel will display how much of shred capacity is being used at any given time, preventing jams from user error and promoting efficiency. If there is a paper jam 8804 will automatically reverse motor to clear it.
